It is in the nature of that which is fundamentally simple that it is often very difficult to see, slippery to grasp, tough to absorb. So it is with Heartland. I doubt this little explanation will explain us. Yet such an explanation may bring some readers closer to enjoying Heartland without them yet understanding it. Heartland is where you are.
